Your moves
Longsword. Your everyday attack, one-handed with the shield up. On a hit (roll +5) it deals 1d8 + 5. The Dueling style adds the extra 2 automatically. weapon
Breath Weapon. Once per rest, breathe a 15 foot cone of dragon-fire. Every creature in it makes a Dexterity save (beat 12), taking 2d6 fire, or half as much on a save. 1/rest
Second Wind. A bonus action to catch your breath and heal 1d10 + 3 in the middle of a fight. Once per rest. 1/rest
Rally. Spend a superiority die to steady a friend with a shout. They gain 1d8 temporary hit points.
Commander's Strike. Give up one of your attacks and spend a die to let an ally strike now. They make a weapon attack and add 1d8 to its damage. The matriarch handing someone a hero moment.
Action Surge. Once per rest, take one extra action on your turn when it matters most.
Features & traits
Dragon-blooded. You resist fire damage, and your breath weapon recharges after a rest.
Battle Master. You have four superiority dice (d8) that power your two maneuvers, Commander's Strike and Rally. They come back after a rest.
Dueling style. Fighting with a single one-handed weapon and a shield gives +2 damage (already in your longsword number).
Coming at level 5 (Act III): Extra Attack. You will swing twice with each Attack action. Not yet, just so you know it is ahead.
